Chemin Des Mattouins

About the Project

This existing Mas in Provence had been renovated in the 1960's and resembled a villa on the Côte d'Azur, with its pink rendered walls.

The project was to create an attractive family pavilion house for the client and his immediate family. There was another house for guests.

When works commenced, existing features were discovered, such as the stone rubble walls, with the original stone quoins, together with an ancient fireplace.

These features were incorporated into the project, which also included a sizeable extension, new staircase, and three bedroom suites.

The interior decoration, which incorporated some of the client's artwork, was carefully integrated to create a personal, but overall harmony to the project.
