About this project

New build house for the Vicar of Hammersmith on the banks of the river Thames. The design had to comply with the “green guide” to vicarages.
However, the house was also designed to optimise the magnificent views and achieve maximum natural daylighting throughout.

The living room is located at first floor with English windows leading to the balcony.
The architectural brief was to design a house echoing the Queen Anne period, but that it also had been extended and subsequently been modified.
The house links to a single-storey community building which became phase 2 of the project. This was “the Riverhouse”.
