About the Project

The majority of the existing rooms were of good size and proportions with good views to the garden.

A bar area and family tv room, however, had to be integrated without damaging the coherence of the period property and private studies and utility rooms appropriately located.

At first floor level, there is a well-used family study area which forms the heart of the house, while all the bedroom suites were all upgraded to modern standards.

Externally, a pool house, gymnasium, garaging and staff cottage all were included in the project.

Whilst the existing regency home had some fine rooms, previous extensions had created a very disjointed and disappointing layout.

The project, therefore, concentrated on the complete remodelling of the interior, creating a large central hall, new staircase, and roof light to create a cohesive plan form.
